Tracey Finch creates artwork that transports you to special moments and cherished places where time stands still and to-do lists are forgotten. These are spaces where nature works its magic on your soul, smoothing the rough edges of everyday life.

A New Zealand artist, Tracey captures our landscape in an expressive way, offering just enough detail for you to recognise it as a place you might have visited—a walk you once took, a beach you bathed on, or an ocean you sailed.

“I feel that nature nearly always provides the answers you need to address life’s everyday niggles. A walk in our native bush, or finding stillness by a body of water is one of the most potent healing balms we have to help us balance our spinning plates with more grace. I aim to bring a sense of that into the spaces you cherish, at home.”

Through her thoughtful use of color, translucent layers, composition, and light, Tracey aims to capture the essence of a scene. She focuses on the essential elements and energy, using generous brushstrokes, allowing viewers to weave their own stories and reconnect with their own experiences.

Tracey is also part of a small team of artists who brought the first BOP Open Studios art trail to life in Feb 2024, connecting artists with local art lovers across the region.
